Last week, we had our annual team day out with Conics. It was the moment to get to know everyone in a different environment. Nothing beats pumping some stress hormones through our veins to see what we're all made of, we thought during the organisation.
Hence our first visit to the Biover climbing hall “BLEAU” at the Blaarmeersen in Ghent. With a climbing wall of over 16m high, the motto was “To boldly go where no one (ahem) has gone before!”. Fun, exciting, and low profile, an absolute recommendation. Thanks also to the Bleau team for the warm welcome and excellent guidance.
After the terrifying reality of climbing, we threw ourselves into the virtual reality of “The Park”. It was a great laugh with yours truly being the first to brave the plank, thanks for that… After the warm-up, we moved on to the task of freeing virtual hostages with varying degrees of success. Great game guys!
The day was concluded with a lovely dinner at B'Artiest in Ypres. Accompanied by our "plus ones," the heroic tales were somewhat embellished to impress those back home. I suspect with varying degrees of success…
Thank you to all the team members for throwing themselves in completely, as always, and making it a fun day. What a day!
