NEED FOR A MORE AUTOMATED AND EFFICIENT WAY OF WORKING

“In the past, we worked with various ERP software packages, which meant that information was too dispersed within the company,” says Rask Operations Manager Marc Van Passen. “It required a lot of effort to stay on top of things; it needed to be more efficient. Over time, we switched to a single central ERP system, which was a significant improvement. However, the prepress production process was still largely manual, with the risk of errors and delays. It was clear that we needed to look for an automated solution that we could integrate with our ERP system.”

Rask was looking for a good software partner to tackle this problem. “We quickly ended up with Conics. We had known Frederic, Dries, and their associates for a long time. They have a lot of experience in the graphic sector and have already completed quite a few impressive projects. After a thorough analysis of the various processes in our company, Conics proposed a solution that could perfectly integrate the Hybrid software (for workflow management in the packaging industry, ed.) we had already invested in with our ERP, to meet our own objectives and needs.”

The employees of Rask feel good about the new software platform. “Everything that used to be done manually now happens automatically with the help of user-friendly software. This means a boost for the efficiency and internal operations of our company. We now have extra control over our processes and our planning, which provides a lot of peace of mind for the employees. In a later phase, we opened up the software system to a user-friendly platform for Rask customers. Here, they can create and manage their print orders themselves. Previously, this was all done via email, without much structure or control. At first, our customers had to get used to the new way of working, but they all quickly adapted and are experiencing the benefits. The prepress production process is now faster and more efficient. Invoicing has also become more transparent thanks to the automated workflow. In short, a significant improvement in customer service,” says Marc.
